The fabulous gallery who delicately collected all the famous paintings from all around the world.



How they define themselves as entrepreneur?
They have their own unique visions, clear goals and objectives and think innovatively in the kind of art. They believe that art has potential and has opportunity to grow and to be able to expand into the world market. They have well planned and managed business . 

How do you start this business as entrepreneurs?
Before the owner started art gallery business, she used to be in the field of advertising and property.
      With having the background, the owner has diverse and broad knowledge and connections regarding advertising and art. The owner received support from the Chief of Shanghai Art Museum. In the form of funds and resources as well as connections.

      How do you define success?
      The owner selects the type of art that she prefers to satisfy buyer and business partners (eg. Sponsors, artists with potential to grow, and connections to buyers)

What do they think the keys to success are?
Owner - Experience, vision, art knowledge, and strong connections with business partners
Product – various form of contemporary arts that show no violent and anger and some are environmental friendlies.
           
How do you compete? Who is your competitor?
Accumulate a pool of famous contemporary artists and unpopular artists who have more potential to grow, and try to build strong connections with business customers (eg. Sponsor media, buyer network, and artists). Try to deliver strong and clear position and benefits it can provide to customers and expand their targets, in terms of artist networks (sellers) and art buyer networks.
Their competitor – the galleries who act as intermediary between artists and buyers with various supporting services.


2nd  place: 99 Degree Art Center








The painting focuses about nature and environment. Mostly are traditional painting.


How do you start this business as entrepreneurs?
The owner is Taiwanese who have gallery in Taiwan. Their customer are mostly from china .
So he see opportunity , he decide to expand the gallery to china and choose Shanghai.


How do you define success?
Their art work concentrated on nature environment and surrounding. The art work represents the environment of each specify area or country that he visited. This is uniquely different than other gallery.  This bring all foreigners and local to come to his gallery. Artist that he has chosen has to be Taiwanese artist who has really deep heart with the environment drawing. The artist doesn’t have to be famous but the drawing has to be really meaningful. The owner has given an opportunity to the new-comer artist who really want to enter the art world but has limited resoruces such as connections or budget. By giving other people a chance of showing himself is the vision that he create


Do you have plans to grow? And how?
Of course, the Taiwanese wish to grow its business by looking for the potential artist from all over the world who has talent in art and skillful in developing in his performance but has barrier to enter.


Do you have plans to expand what you are doing.
No. but will expand another branch in the future

How do you compete? Who is your competitor?
He compete by being different and being unique.


Do you have any events or any exhibition?
Yes he organize exhibition twice a year in different places.


Who is the artist? Where is he/she come f rom?
Artist is only from Taiwan.

What kind of art is it? For example, Contemporary art.

3rd place: Tufenq Art






All unique sculptures have been created by the owner without any other artists involved. His painting focuses on China politics and religious. We can feel the sense of realistic and sarcasm on every painting.


How do you start this business as entrepreneurs?
The owner used to paint, and has now changed his preference to sculptures. He expresses his experience and knowledge through art work. He has background in China army. His inspirations were from realities he experienced in Chinese society. And now he rents gallery space to show and sell his artworks.
  
      How do you define success?
The owner would expand his reputation through connections (eg. Artist communities, friends, word of mouth, and galleries)

What do they think the keys to success are?
Owner - Experience, vision, art knowledge, strong connection with business partner, and inspirations to create artworks.
Product – Human abstract sculptures that express his believes about Chinese society.
Advertising – artists would have communities to gather and they would refer their friends to one another.
      
Do you have plans to grow? And how?
We think that this artist believes that his artworks sell themselves, so in order to expand the business; there must be more recognition and awareness about his galleries and his type of artwork to draw attentions from art buyers, especially from overseas.

How do you compete? Who is your competitor?

The target of this gallery would be those who like human abstract sculptures that express societal messages through artworks.


4th place: ADA Art Space Shanghai






The gallery is inspired by young four artists who have the common goal in order to pursue their dream as an artist. To show their varieties of artwork to the world.


How do you start this business as entrepreneurs?
1)     The artist has formed a group of four showing their piece of excellence work in this art gallery. Their piece of work is showing their emotional feeling towards the world.


      How do you define success?
The define success by enable to show their feeling into piece of art.

What do they think the keys to success are?
The owner  welcome all artist even the beginner to come to this place. In fact, The artist has ambition to show their art work but has limited resources. Therefore, the artist has formed themselves as a group of four and rent the room to show their art work. In presence, their individual work is shown in that place

Do you have plans to grow? And how?
When they have sufficient money, they wish to open their own gallery.

How do you compete? Who is your competitor?
A group involve of diversify artist with different ideas.

Do you have any events or any exhibition?
Yes they would organize their event all over the world whenever there is a chance for them

Who are your customers?
Their customers are from all over the world mostly from European country.

What do you use as perception to come up with the drawing?
Use feeling towards the world as a perception in drawing
